In PieFed v1.4 it will be possible to label posts as having AI generated content. Labelled posts will get a little badge near their title, similar to how nsfw and nsfl content is labelled. Mods and authors can change this value on a post in the same way they do flair and nsfw, using the little tags button in the bottom right or in ‘More options’ when editing their post.

I’ve been thinking a lot recently about PeerTube, Loops, Bandwagon, and other platforms in the Fediverse that are geared around artists. I might get flamed for this, and you’re welcome to disagree, but I think the network is in dire need of having support for commerce.

PieFed v1.4 will have Stack Overflow-like functionality: the person who posted a question will be able to choose which of the replies are the answer, by clicking the green tick icon in the bottom left. Chosen answer(s) then have a highlight and a green tick at the top of them.

I browse different lemmy instances usually because the feed is always different. Was blown away when I recently went to lemmy.today, no clue when they did the change but whoever is in charge of the design has my admiration! (*chef’s kiss*)

The upcoming v1.2 release will include a built-in instance chooser, so every instance will be able to recommend every other instance, without a centralized site like https://joinmastodon.org or https://lemmyverse.net/instances. (except those instances that have opted out or closed registrations)
