TropicalDingdongI've been donating to both lemmy.world and (puke in mouth) lemmy developers, and I like to vote with my wallet. My understanding is piefed is effectively an alternative to lemmy for more or less the same content. I think the dot world donations would be going to the same locations (lemmy.world and piefed.world and mastadon.world are all https://fedihosting.foundation/hosted/ ?), however I'd much rather throw the cup of coffee I buy @desalines every month to the piefed developers.

So is that a donation to supporting the hosting cost of the instance or for the developers?
Because I already donate to support the instance by donating to the foundation (I think).
Scroll down and it says "Support PieFed development". There's a link to Patreon with a bit more details. But that's by the main developer who also runs that instance. You'd have to ask them about more details about how they spend the money.
