INeedManaI just discovered Piefed and I'm interested in checking it out. I've found this instance and in many aspects it would fit me
How much "under construction" this is? Is it ok for me to start using it?
I don't mind outages, things breaking, etc. But an account wipe every month would be too much for me
On the other side, I don't want to bother you if that box was meant as a deterrent

Does this community have federation disabled? I wanted to answer from piefed.zip but even today your comment did not federate. I'm not sure who should I ping about this, whether it's a problem with piefed federation or this community is not supposed to federate anyway, or maybe some piefed.world growing pains? I am subscribed to here on the new instance

I don't think comment backfilling works yet. new content only federates to instances having at least one local subscriber at the time. you should be able to resolve it from the URL though.
